Singapore Trip Part 3

continue....so on saturday, we woke up at 6.45 am..took our shower, bla bla bla and had our breakfast in the hotel as it provides breakfast too..about 8.30am we were ready to walk down the street to JB central..we opt not to take a cab because we were still "fresh & excited"..but if you wanted to take a cab from zen zeng hotel to jb sentral, the rate would be around RM8 sth..
we arrived at jb central and headed towards CIQ..CIQ stands for Customs, Immigration & Quarantine Complex..don't worry, the signboard is there..just follow the sign..kalau takot sangat, just follow the crowd..and kalau masih tak tahu and tak sure lagi, ask people la deyh!!

walking down to JB central from our hotel

the signs are everywhere..dont worry =P

 Heading to CIQ

after all the check up, we went downstairs to take the bus to woodlands checkpoint..any bus doesnt matter as long as you keep the bus ticket..we choose to go to Kranji Mrt..we paid RM2.00 per ticket..the bus drive us to woodland checkpoints..like seriously, q untuk woodland check point sgt la panjang..its really tiring..kalau u nak dapat q awal, sila la berlari 100m/s ke arah check point sebaik sahaja turun dari bus..kami surrender..bag kami besar bai!
once declaration and all settled, we headed downstairs to take a "different but same company name" bus to Kranji MRT..while waiting, again time to study the map and change the plan sebab sampai pun dah lambat..almost 9.30 am..mat salleh depan kitorang tumpang study map kitorang jugak..agak kembang kempis di situ..i rasa dia pun kagum dengan map A3 kitorang yang i sendiri print live dari office..hahaha..anyway!
remember the tickets yang i suruh simpan?? bila bus sampai and conductor turun , show it to the conductor..if you lost it, buy another one..but this time in dollar!! hahaha..gelak setan..padan muka..

this is the bus station at woodland checkpoint..we were waiting for our causeway link CW1 bus to kranji mrt station

inside the bus..a lil cramped up..but who cares..still better than rapid KL dalam U i dulu.

arrived at Kranji MRT Station

sesampai di kranji, kami beli ticket ke ang mo kio untuk dapatkan tourist card..dari kranji ke ang mo kio, train $2..di ang mo kio, we choose not to buy the ezilink because it works just like a touch-n-go card..meaning that, once duit habis, u have to top up..kitorang sgt tak rajin nak top up so kitorang pilih tourist card..the ezilink card will cost you $28 and you have to give $5 as deposit..however for the tourist card, you need to pay $8/day plus $10 for deposit....we plan to stay for two days, so we paid $26.. the card can be used anywhere for any kind of public transport..theres no need to top up..$26 dollar for 2 days unlimited..it is accessible for any location, anytime and anywhere..kalau u berjalan mcm "tourist giler-just like us" for 2 days non stop, then i would strongly suggest that you guys get this card..cuma weaknes of this card is that u need to get/return the card at selected station only..before 9pm everyday..so you need to hurry to return the card before the counter closed..or else, your deposit will be burn.. =)

enuf for the ticket matters..so now, we had changed the plan..we all tak nak masuk USS sebab it is almost 11 am..1 hour late than the targeted time..so we straight away planned to go to the hostel and letak bag dul..THE HIVE HOSTEL adalah nama hostel yang kami stay..it just nearby to MRT Boon Keng..we booked bedroom for 6 female backpacker..harga $22 per pax..bila arrived, blom tiba waktu untuk kami check in..kami tak nak la tinggal lama lama kat sana..itu buang masa namanya..so we decided to leave just our bag kat hostel lobby tuh and proceed with jalan-jalan..owner hostel allowed untuk tinggalkan bag kitorang kat dia..dia kuncikan bag kami semua dengan bag backpacker yang lain lain...bagus kan perkhidmatan dia? dah la muka owner tuh hensem! hmmmmm...

bila beban dah tiada, semangat berkobar kobar untuk berjalan memuncak..haha..we begin our journey by walking down the Serangoon road to Little india..konon konon nak pegi little india, tapi hampeh..because it is too little, we cannot find it..haha..selamat la jalan itu membawa kami ke City Square Mall..perut dah kruk krak tak tahan malu punya..nak tak nak kena la masuk mall itu untuk mencari sesuap nasi..rupa rupanya susah jugak nak cari makanan halal di singapore..demn..pusing satu mall, tengok makanan..apa pun tak boleh!! physco betul..at last jumpa juga this one japanesse restaurant..ada logo halal tertera..logo halal restaurant tuh tak payah la nak pertikaikan..siapa pertikaikan, memang sengaja free free nak minta pelempang! gagaga...

i tak tahu nak describe the food..its like singaporean + japanesse + Malaysian taste pun ada..so weird..kalau restaurant ini ada kat m'sia, sumpah tak nak recommend kat korunk!

so after lunch kat city square mall, we went to orchard road, drop at orchard station..fyi, to get there, u need to change the train at dhoby gaut..it is from the blue lane to the red lane..orchard road is just like a pavilion in Malaysia..so many world well known brand and boutique available..and i yang kenal diri i ni sapa sangat la tak mampu nak beli barang barang kat situ..huk huk..well, its not among my targeted place to shop pun..my fren miji bought a blue-tooth earphone from apple epic center yang mahal-haram-jadah-for me for about $300! dollar meh, not RM..we all tak tahu la ear piece apa ntah yang dia beli tu..

in front of ion orchard mall..

i thought orchard road is just like one straight road je, but so i was mistaken..its like a four square..pelbagai shopping mall yang ada kat sini tapi yang paling penting untuk dylla, orchard road ada SINGAPORE HARD ROCK CAFE!! yeah yeah..
tak senang untuk pegi ke hardrock singapore ye tuan tuan dan puan puan..sungguh tak rock langsung..its soo not in the same block with ion orchard..its almost 4 blocks away from it..since my friend dylla adalah peminat sejati this hard rock thingy, without further delay we walk through the street untuk tunaikan hasrat dia..haha...dylla bought a tshirt for $40 and zati bought a teddy bear for $16..i'm not a big fan of hardrock, so i tak beli apa apa..tapi i own couples of hardrock teddy bear from all over japan country side..itu pun kawan from japan yang bagi =p

at last, this is it..somewhere behind the coffee bean along orchard road..kenapa la kau nih jauh sangat!

dalam hardrock cafe..semua kuning muning.. naik pening..

lepas dah puas giler berjalan mcm tak ingat anak bini, its time to say goodbye to orchard road..off we went..
its time for H&M boutique!! masa untuk tunaikan hasrat si ochai..tapi untuk pengetahuan semua, H&M boutique is not located at orchard road ye..it is located somewhere in sommerset station..one station after orchard..masa nih, i dah terasa boring..almaklumla, i bukan jenis pakai baju memahal nih...i pakai t-shirt bundle pun takpe! ! so bila boring and tak tahu nak shop apa, i pun duduk kat luar boutique sorang-sorang  termenung melihat singaporean yang stylish sambil mengurut kaki!!! aduihai... pics kat H&M pun takde..sungguh dah tak larat..

pung pang ping pong dalam pukul 5.30 pm, tanpa membuang masa, we continue to our next pit stop, china town...chinatown are so happening with all the chinesse..terasa macam masuk ke KUNGFU town dengan mafia mafia sedang memerhati..haha..main objective ke chinatown adalah untuk beli souvenir..mereka kata di chinatown, fridge magnet, key chain and t-shirt sgt murah..well, its true..7 keychains or 6 fridge magnet - $10, a low quality sikit for singapore t-shirt they sell 3 for $10..and for the good quality, u can get 1 for $10.. we spent one hour and half kat sana...siap dengan solat jamak sekali..jangan tak tahu, walaupun nama chinatown, tapi ada sebuah masjid at the very end of the road..we were surprised..we thought whats describe in the map is just lika a small road name or what...but its real!!

so picture bawah adalah chinatown..kalau nak jumpa masjid, just walk straight along this road..exit to pagoda street, you will see one..not just masjid, temple pun ada! nak masuk?? pun boleyhhh..
an antique building served in chinatown..

 several other souvenir yang ada...
