Backpack Trip to Bangkok - Final Post. At last!!

the final day and final post of bangkok has arrived!!! yeah..

last day di bangkok, kami terbangun agak lewat.. flight pukul 7.00 am tapi pukul 5 baru bangun!! serious ingt masa tuh cukup but that was the biggest / scariest part of all.. lain kali 2 hours before flight, dah ready kat air port.. ini tak!! 2 hours before flight baru nak bangun..bajet mcm pergi jakarta

one thing i hate about Don Mueng airport, the luggae system is very poor.. i tak tahu if this only happened when i was there but definitely the system screwed up...orang flight pukul 10.00 pun dah boleh check in bag pukul 6???..the check in counter lansung tak tunjuk flight number thus semua orang yang bawa beg gedabak besar semua dah line up awal... ape jadah?? stress .. tanya dengan counter whether we can get thru first or not, then dengan selamba je dia kata no choice.. please line up! wtf?? 6.30 am, we were still lining up for luggage check in?? melampau kan

lagi 10 min nak take off, kami masih beratur di customs counter.. dalam hati hanya tuhan je yang tahu.. ini kalau terlepas flight, memang burn la budget i.. haha.. selepas custom lepas, berpuluh puluh ribu langkah di buka.. mai and i berlari lari macam orang giler sedang ber- explore race..beg besar di belakang, dgn seliper kpukkk kpakkk kpukk kpakk sampai satu airport dengar, ada aku kesah?? klu i terlepas flight, korunk nak tanggung ke?? paling2, sampai sini je i jumpa korunk.. hhahah.. but alhamdulillah, we made it..dah la kena naik bus untuk ke plane..kalau la kami missed that particular bus, sumpah kami dah kena tinggal..

Backpack Trip to Bangkok - Part 6

my 5th day post.. insyallah will be the second last post..

today is our last day before we leave for KL tomorrow morning..
9.00 am : we went to Jim Thompson House.. seriously i thought that this place is quite a distance but i was totally mistaken.. the Thompson's house is besides our hostel..sungguh dekat like you need 5 min out walking... we went there discover what was the house is all about.. if you would like to know more, you can click here .. the story has to do with the missing guy in Cameron Highland.. well, preety nice to know how he discovered silk and how he explore the business in Thailand..tour  available in two version, English / Siamesse.

ibis hotel next door..after ibis hotel is Jim Thompson House

waterlily...siamesse love this flower

The Jim Thompson House.. a big house with a big yard..green and looks very classic.

selepas The Thomphson house, we went to Benjakiti Park..di sini, you can almost see all skyscrappers in bangkok.. i heart this place but of cos not when the time we were there..pukul 12 tgh hari terpacak kat park tuh apa jadahnya.. silap timing la.. seriously.. mat salleh nak tanned kan kulit, so diorang tidok la kisah berjogging tengah hari buta kat tasik tapi ktorang tak de la.. we were dehydrated kot...walaupun begitu, ktorang gagahkan jua perjalanan dengan menyewa basikal.. harga sewa basikal di Benjakiti Park is about 100thb..ignoring the hot sun, kitorang berbasikal mengelilingi tasik dlm 6 pusingan.. siap kena kejar dgn security lagi sebab bawa basikal bertentangan arah.. alah, rileks la brader..takde orang pun,.. klu kat mesia, haram i takkan buat kerja kerja tak guna mcm nih..betulll

Benjakiti Park.. this scenery will definitely look amazing in the evening..

The Benjakiti Lake.

orang giler panas giler main basikal tengah hari buta.. hahahaha

After Benjakiti Park, we went to Queen Sirikit Convention Center.. this place is like a PWTC..here ada surau.. klau nak solat, boleh la singgah.. heaven giler jumpa tempat ini.. satu sebab air-cond dan tak panas, kedua surau dan ke tiga kerusi urut..smua ini memenuhi kelengkapan kami yang dah longlai tahap cipan..sun burning.. ada jugak restaurant di sini tapi halal tak halal, sendiri mau survey la.. kami just minum..orang dehydrated bagi 3 botol air sejuk pun rasa mcm tak cukup.... berbasikal tgh hari buta??? haishhh...tetiba nak marah pada diri sendiri! =P

Queen Sirikit Conventional Center

surau dalam Queen Sirikit Convention Center

next destination was to Chatucak Market again... kenapa chatucak, sebab kami tak belikan sourvenir untuk kawan2 lagi.. reason lain sebab duit pun banyak lagi so nak joli sakan dulu duit tuh..

dari chatucak dalam pukul 5.00pm, kami kembali ke hostel untuk amik beg dan berangkat keluar dari Bangkok City menuju ke Don Mueng airport.. but opss.. kami belum pun nak balik lagi. we have to tukar hotel and amik hotel dekat dgn don mueng airport sebab esok pagi, isnin, flight kami pukul 7.00 am..dari bangkok city ke don mueang, you boleh naik bus dari Mo Chit Station.. naik bus yang ada tulis airport atau kalau tak silap bus number A1 / A2... both bus will bring you to don Mueng..

kami check in hotel yang consider murah iaitu Max One House .. sebenarnya dalam map nampak mcm senang atau dekat dgn airport tapi sebenarnya hotel ini jauh sikit la..nampak gaya hotel ini mcm sunyi.. kawasan hotel ini mcm kawasan chowkit bila malam.. mai dah rasa mcm tak sedap hati tapi what to do..plus, we are not going anywhere malam tuh, so tdow je la... esok flight pagi2.. bilik memang besar tapi the surrounding looks creepy..i dont recommend you guys to stay here unless if you jenis kamikaze punya orang and sempoi alam giler...hahah.. kalau you ada bajet lebih, maybe you boleh stay dekat Amari Don Mueng Airpot Hotel.. its is so near and siap ada jejantas lagi antara hotel dan airport..

malam akhir di bangkok, kami hanya duduk diam diam dlm bilik dan kemas barang2 sambil layan cerita romantic thailand... cerita thailand malam terakhir di bangkok tuh memang romantic habes la..mai terlentang tdow dah, tapi i siap layan citer tuh sorang sorang sambil lap air mata.. cissss, tak guna punya air mata!!

thank you peep for reading.. to the last post, i will show my total damaged expenses of this trip.. have a nice weekend people!

Backpack Trip to Bangkok - Part 5

i wanna wrap every 4th day activity of my bangkok trip..

8.00 am: today is my 4th day in bangkok and what we planned is shopping.. first place we went was Pahurat... Pahurat is like Tangkak or Nilai 3, if were to compare. The easiest way to get to Pahurat is by boat. drop off is at Pahurat Pier..we went off by boat and pay like 25 bath to get there..
below are some pics snapped during shopping.. its common that less pictures taken when shopping thingy take place...harga kain kat pahurat is slightly cheaper than Malaysia and of course there are certain design that you couldnt get in Malaysia..but what we were looking for is not those cloth.. we were looking for Thai Silk.. here in Pahurat, you can get Thai silk with a much more cheaper price..Mai bought 6 sets of color and those are for her baju kurung during Hari Raya

12.00 pm : after spend time like 3 hours in Pahurat, we went to the next place.. Chatuchak Market... it is the biggest market in Thailand.. i love Chatuchak for what its offered but totally not the crowd and the wheather..so hot and we were sweating profusely...chatucak is divided into many sections and you may ask for a Map of Chatucak Market from any vendors / retailers in chatucak so as it may ease your findings...  the market is so wide and it has many lane. be assure on what you were looking for.. and at Chatucak, you can find several halal food stall...theres one that we tried out,  It is exactly in front of the clock tower which is at the center of Chatuchak.. they sell Kebab roll..not many pictures taken at Chatucak but anyhow its a place that you must spend your money on... to go to chatucak, you may take green line to Mo Chit station or blue subway station, Saphan Kwai.. Chatucak is the world's largest weekend market.. you can find plants, food, attires, books, ceramics, collectible or antiques items here..you see, it has almost anything... wow

WED-THU (Plants & Flowers) 6.00 am - 6.00 pm.
FRI (Wholesale day) 6.00 am - 6.00 pm.
SAT-SUN (Miscellaneous) 6.00 am - 6.00 pm.

the kebab role at Chatucak Market.. #the auntie speaks good english..

she was smiling because the good looking guy is serving her.. gosh. he's married and his wife is serving me derrr..hahah..

5.00 pm : balik hostel and bersesak sesak dgn orang yang ampun sangat la ramai.. =( only once in a week kan, so begitulah hebatnya

8.00 pm - 11.00 pm: lepak Sukhumvit area..main attraction at Sukhumvit was its night life and its shopping spree.. Sukhumvit is the most eclectic and for a lot of the city’s residents, the most popular...masa kami kat sana, Terminal 21 shopping mall ada big sales. they sell roxy, quicksilver and brand seangkatan dengannya pada harga yang insanely cheap.. roxy bag was only for rm15?? nice! clearance stock maybe.. here, they have many night club.. you can see shemale everywhere.. you can see pole waiting for its dancer..hu hu..

11 pm sth, we decided to dine in KFC.. i nampak pak cik pakai kopiah makan kfc kat MBK plaza so i rasa KFC bangkok halal... but dear friend, after balik malaysia, barulah i realize that only certain franchaise je yang halal.. the rest di ragui kehalalannya..i cuma tengok kat menu board takde pork, so i rasa sepatutnya ok but please, jgn tiru aksi ini di bangkok.. honestly, bila bab backpack, i sangat tak endah pasal makan.. i can eat anything or i can even not to eat anything when it comes to backpacking..

korean mall, time square.

thank god, end my 4th day post..i've made it!!! thank you for reading this..

Backpack Trip to Bangkok - Part 4

kami sampai hotel lebih kurang maghrib.. bagai itik pulang petang, itulah kami.. mandi, solat jamak dan persiapkan diri untuk keluar semula.. mmg tak reti dok diam..rugi kalau tak berjalan.. walaupun kaki dah penat tahap cipanzi bergayut lelama, tapi kena teruskan..
kami pergi ke Siam center.. tujuan adalah untuk dapatkan gmbar dalam Madame Tassauds sebab tadi masa dok belek belek guestbook, barulah kami perasan yang package kami ada include free gambar .. dalam hati tergerak, mesti diorang takkan simpan lagi gambar kitorang yang semalam.. bila gi ke kaunter, the ans was as expected.. takde la rezeki..
konon2 frust,  kami mengubat hati yang lara dengan menonton Channel V broadcast live in studio..cewahh..i tahu channel V ini wujud sejak dari dulu lagi dan of course the most popular DJ for them was DJ Utt.. kenal tak dia?? Cute miut der..i remember how my closest cousin minat giler dengan dia.. sampai bila dia tengah pung pang cerita tuh, I rasa DJ Utt ada kat sebelah..Tak ke berhantu tuh namanya.. reminiscences good old memories when were were kids and plain know nothing but handsome guy..huhu
Siam center looks so great at night.. the decoration of each shop lots are so unique and fantastic.. I love the way they express their idea and creativity on their lots… tak jemu memandang and of cos, it is paid off by the expensive goods that they sold inside.... I dare not to come in as i’m not a shopping freak for such lavish thingy..i love my money..why should I spend buying expensive things  when I can get prettier one with much more cheaper price..rite? =) (alamak, membebel pulak i nih. )
Channel V Studio
After went to siam center, we walked out from the mall and headed to the outside area and look for whats Bangkok can offer..that night was more to free and easy, so what we did was walking down the road crossing many2 night markets and heading where our feet bring us.. Bangkok memang awesome with its night market..and since orang Thailand nih semua kecil kecil, so baju yang diorang jual tuh absolutely doesn’t fit me.. redha je la..plus diorang pun into korea style, which I gladly tell ya that I’m not!

on the way to hardrock

Jalan punya jalan, sampai la kami ke tempat yang wajib pergi iaitu Hardrock Café Bangkok it really doesn’t matter for me to buy or not to buy the hardrock thingy but to snap a pics with the Hardrock signage, it is a must!!! bahaha. Main ngelat je la.. nak buat mcm mane, bukan big fan of barang hardorck sangat.. maybe one day, when I no longer love my money, then only I’ll be their die hard fan..hehe..… this time in Bangkok, I tak dapat ambil gambar dengan tulisan “Bangkok”.. sebab the signage that says “Hardrock Café Bangkok” was located at somewhere higher.. sebabkan bangunan rapat rapat, tak jumpa view menarik untuk ambil gmbr.. tapi kalau u naik train, the signage can be seen clearly …

it is Saturday nite and the hipster are all everywhere…. =)

After party pretty hard rocks, we walk again down the mainroad to get back to the sky walkway.. mai nak pergi MBK Plaza sebab dia nak beli bag yang dia dah aim nak beli sejak day 1 lagi… wahahah.. she cant get rid of thinking about the handbag… nice design and made of thai silk..i personally suka but i cant be too feminine yaw.. Seriously no..

hah, nampak tak kain warna kelabu kuning tuh.. yessah, itu bukan langsir.. no no no.. itu adalah kain untuk pembungkus kedai okay.. hahah

Jam dah memang menujukkan pukul 10.30 and were still inside the building.. retailers dah tutup kedai tapi kami degil, nak jugak shopping.. kesian diorang but since they are all very nice and humble, diorang sanggup je tunggu kitorang shopping.. habes plastic penutup kedai diorang buka semula.. silap haribulan, kalau tak beli mahu diorang mengamuk.. silap hari bulan, habes kami kena bungkus seperti mana kedai mereka di bungkus.. huhu...dia borong beg thai silk 4 buah dan beli long pouch dalam 10 buah.. i bought 1 which was blue in color.. purpose? to place my toiletries in it..
after shopping and get what she wanted, barulah terasa yang kaki macam nak tercabut.. weng!!! we decided to go for massage..mai nak massage, but i tak nak.. so i temankan dia .. i cant remeber how much she paid for it but it usually comes with package.. all the worker  were packing things and closing down center but things went just nice when they welcomed us with smile and laughter..the  massager try to communicate but coz of langauge constraint, she just yes'sing our conversation..haha she's nice.. and while Mai get her massage done, another man worker laid down my backchair and asked me to sleep.. auuwwww... so sweet...the massage went for 45 minutes and MBK plaza completely closed at 12.00 pm..

sebelum balik, sempat lagi pegi stadium tengok Muay tai competition live depan mata..alang2 dah depan hotel, rugi besar klu tak singgah.. best giler tengok mamat hensem bermuay tai and fyi, we only gave our full support to those yang handsome je.. haha.. except for Israel, hensem mana pun eden tak mboh..=P ..and glad that they're lost to Thailand

the red was israelie and the blue was thai..

up to 1.30 pm, still had nothing to worry.. nothing to afraid..surrounding was still hot and hips.. as the tiger show started to get alive, off we went back to our hostel.. =) cant think much as body and mind dah penat giler.. we lights off kul 2.30 am. what a day!

thank you peep for reading.. sorry for couldnt minimized the gap between period of post, jiwa penulis tuh memang takde langsung der! =)

Backpack Trip to Bangkok - Part 3

Masyaallah, i really find a hardtime to write for ya.. what a lazy bummers..haih..apologize for it but lets continue..

After Grand Palace, we headed to Pier Phra Arthit ...tempat menarik di pier ini adalah Khao San Road (the heaven place for backpacker) , National Museum, Phra Sumane fort and Thanon Phra Arthit..

Nak pergi ke KSR agak jauh tapi di sebabkan punya lah nak sangat tengok situasi sebenar KSR,di gagahi jua...kat sini lah terletak banyak hotel budget dan nite market.. everywhere ada market / bazaar...that make sense why tourist especially Mat Salleh suka sangat tempat nih..

1st thing after you walked out from the pier, you'll see fort on your left side... go straight to the fort and you'll find public map on the roadside..this fort is very fofular you know..Movie Fabulos 30 (Thai Movie) banyak shooting kat area sini.. ia adalah tinggalan sejarah....bila malam, kawasan fort nih memang cantik .. but we dont feel enthusiast to discover the place, so we walked away macam tuh je.. sepatutnya alang2 dah lalu, pusing je la kan but, hehe.. kami meneruskan perjalanan ke Khao San Road (KSR).. KSR agak jauh jugak la klu nak pegi berjalan kaki but no doubt, we are still young and so eager, we freely opt to walk and walk, non stop to reach our destination.. i nak describe direction ke Khaosan pun mcm susah..cuba tengok je map kat bawah nih... maybe boleh faham...

Phra Sumane Fort.. cantik pabila malam tiba..

its like "lihat lah dunia"".. what a lame pose... people can think of many style, why can't i?? grrr

Personally, i tak suka nak stay kat KSR lama2 sebab mcm serabut tgk kawasan dia... lagipun peniaga2 dekat sini ada yang berlagak pun ye gak.. diorang ingat kitorang nih Muslim Thai yang datang dari selatan kot, sebab tuh layan mcm nak tak nak je..nampak sangat diorang pandang rendah kat muslim selatan thai..kalau kami tanya harga dulu, dan kemudian ada pulak mat salleh yang tanya harga, mau di layannya mat salleh tuh dulu...puihhhh... klu bab peniaga rude dgn pelanggan ini, i memang tak boleh tolerate..rasa awful and so mad kot coz i am buying your things and giving your extra money (means profit), so layan la baik baik... if i dont buy, you wont get money and you probably wont survive .. emotional sikit bab nih.. huk huk.. ok, lupakan..

5.30pm :  masa dok jalan2 kat KSR, tetiba langit bertukar menjadi gelap.. (perghh.. ayat drama).. so Mai and i cepat2 nak balik ke jetty.. tapi tak sempat pun keluar dari KSR, hujan dah turun.. nak tak nak, terpaksa la naik Tuk Tuk..di sebabkan hujan lebat, no point jugak naik tuk tuk..tetap kena tempias hujan.. lupa yang tuk tuk takde pintu dan tingkap.. hahahahh.. it was fun and funny.. the tuk tuk driver press his gear to the highest and  off we went like a Formula One racer kot..scary jugak la naik tuk tuk sebab ke tidak stabilan kenderaan beroda tiga ini...kaki masing masing dah pasang kekuda.. sikit lagi nak tahan kaki kat bahu driver.. hahah.. tangan pulak, punyalah genggam sekuat hati barang2 shopping..buatnya terjatuh, tak ke naya.. itu semua berharga beb!

inilah tuk tuk gila sedang nak buat lap.. on a slippery road with only 3 tyres, so heart stroking..

sebabkan hujan, dah tak terpikir pun nak singgah ke mana mana jetty lagi.. kami pulang terus ke sathorn pier..walaupun hujan, activity menaiki boat langsung tak terjejas..sampai sathorn pier, kami naik tren terus pulang ke National stadium sebab malam, kami nak shopping ke Sukhumvit pula... yehaaa..

till the next post.. thank you for reading
